III baseball powerhouse, and five innings of no-hit relief were what it took to earn the latest NCBWA Div. III weekly awards. This week’s selections were based on games played April 22-28.
March 27, 2023 Top teams find success on Monday On Monday, the top teams knew how to win. UW-Stevens Point slugged their was to a sweep, Rowan shutout Penn State Abington, and Catholic walked it off. Three different ways to win but the result was the same with the ranked team coming out on top.
March 24, 2023 Hopkins slugs their way to a win on Friday Johns Hopkins slugged their way to a win on Friday. Belhaven, Elms, Oberlin and Penn State Abington also gave up a big number to their opponents but still came out with wins as their offenses picked up the pitching staff.

October 21, 2022 DiMento elevated to head coach at Penn State Abington Penn State Abington school officials announced that Joe DiMento will become the new head baseball coach at Abington. DiMento has served as an assistant coach with the Nittany Lions the past four seasons.
May 25, 2022 McCarty makes Golden Spikes list Penn State Abington senior Ryan McCarty was named a semifinalist for USA Baseball's Golden Spikes Award on Tuesday. McCarty is one of 31 semifinalists that are now in the running to being named the top amateur baseball player of the year.
